ROGERS CAPITAL CASE STUDY

 

Situation

Based in Mauritius, Rogers Capital is the Fintech arm of Rogers Group and encapsulates financial, technology and corporate products and services, positioning itself as a provider of integrated services enabling clients regionally and globally to tackle arising challenges in a fast-changing global economy.  Rogers Capital pride themselves on being strategists, thinkers and innovators.

Rogers Capital wanted to support their 45-persons Leadership Team to more effectively live, work and lead with the values of Pioneering, Agility and Excellence in their business. In order to achieve this, they wanted to share with their leadership team the latest in neuroscientific principles as they relate to change.

Elements

45 leaders from across 3 business units

Acquisition and merger of multiple companies in recent years with diverse organisation sub cultures, impacting business focus and strategic alignment.

There was a strong realisation from the Executive team that a shift in mindset was required to change behaviour and further drive strategic business objectives, while fully living the corporate values.

Objectives

How we worked with Rogers Capital leadership team

  • Leaders attended a 2-days face to face workshop on the Neuroscience of Change.

  • Leaders completed a 30-days change journal designed to embed the knowledge, models & tools from the program as they relate to the business objectives focused on in the workshop

  • 8 “Champions” for change were identified and coached weekly to accompany other participants in the change process

  • Champions touched base with their leaders weekly for this period

  • 3 monthly Leadership group workshops/ coaching sessions were conducted to drive corporate level change.

 

Results

The Rogers Capital leadership team felt this program achieved stated company and individual objectives and are looking to extend this as an ongoing program within the business subject to COVID-19 restrictions.

Individual Leaders:

  • 100% of Leaders said that they would recommend this training to others. 96% of Leaders said that they were more aware of their stress levels at work and how they impacted their behaviours and work outcomes.

  • 96% said that they found the knowledge and tools of this workshop useful for them in light of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

  • 97% of Leaders utilise all of the tools taught in some capacity with over 80% utilising the tools a lot throughout their day.  

Team:

  • 86% of Leaders said that the workshop had enhanced their coherence, communication and collaboration as a leadership team

  • 74% of Leaders recognised a shift in the culture at Rogers Capital since the workshop

Company:

  • 93% of Leaders said that the workshop activities helped them get clearer on their core values of Agility, Pioneering and Excellence.

  • 96% of Leaders recognised that their personality has a direct impact on their ability to address and solve key work challenges such as lack of time, workload, number of team members, technical capabilities, insufficient support, mindset, team values, lack of accountability and lack of communication.
